Every new landing page, blog post or client site needed the same thing before it could be shared anywhere: an Open Graph image. So someone would open Figma, duplicate a template, swap the title, export at 1200×630 — and do it again for the next one, and the next.
Across dozens of client projects, that manual step never got any faster. It was the kind of task that's simple enough to never prioritize fixing, and repetitive enough to quietly eat hours every month.
So we automated it for ourselves first. OGKit started as an internal tool — something that read a page's content and generated a decent-looking preview image without anyone opening a design tool. Once it worked well enough for our own client sites, it made sense to open it up.
